Allyson gets Chaotic

Allyson Gofton and the team land at Chaos Springs, 80 hectares of organic property, just west of Waihi nestled between the hills on the Waitawheta River.  Jenny and Steve are BioGro certified and make rich compost and grow lemons, garlic and heritage Maori potatoes for seed.

Pictured above are Steve and Jenny Erickson in front of their lovely home with Allyson and Joan.

Steve convinced Jenny to come back to his home in Utah for 7 years, 20 years later they left their successful organic compost-making business where surprise, surprise made fabulous commercial herbs and salad mix. Now, they have made an eco house constructed entirely from environmental materials.

Jenny may have been destined to produce great produce, As a member of the Yates family, known by every keen gardener, Jenny has made no exception to the family tradition. With a lemon orchard, plums, pears, and blackboy peaches they also grow a great crop of garlic and a variety of potatoes. As a queen of companion planting, there is no better satisfaction than a bulging vege garden.

In addition to growing such delicious produce, through necessity, they've developed a machine to spread their own compost and Steve now manufactures the machines for other farms.

As a girl, Jenny would stand by her mum while they cooked on the family farm, As a confident cook, Jenny brings a wholesome approach to her cooking on the Rangemaster stove.

Out of chaos comes order.
